Removing a Supplier

How to Remove a Supplier


   You can remove a Supplier in Administration / Supplier menu.


This document will focus on how "Remove" an existing Supplier from the Administration / Supplier menu.

In order to "Remove" a Supplier, first locate the Supplier that is to be removed. This can be done by using the Filters supplied in the Administration / Supplier menu.

In this case the Supplier is called "test1234".

Click on the Supplier to highlight it.

Click the  button, located in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Highlighted above. this will open the "Edit Supplier" screen.

Once the "Edit Supplier" screen is open, it is now possible to edit the fields within. 

In order to "remove" a Supplier, the "Status" field must be changed from "Active" to either "Suspended" or "Ceased Trading". In this case we will set the "Status" field to "Ceased Trading". 

The "Status" field can be found on the right-hand side of the screen, below "Account Type" and above "Sales Rep". Highlighted below. 

After changing the "Status" field it is time to update / save the changes made to the Supplier.

Click the  button to update / save the changes made to the Supplier.

(Optionally) Click the  button to cancel updating / saving the changes made to the Supplier.

You have now successfully removed a Supplier.


In Summary

- Select the Supplier to be removed using the Filters.

- Select the  button to open the "Edit Supplier" screen.

- Change the "Status" field to either "Suspended" or "Ceased Trading"

- Select the  button to update / save the changes made to the Supplier.

- (Optionally) Click the  button to cancel any changes made to the Supplier. 


NOTE: It is best practice to double-check the Supplier that has been removed. To do this simply:

- While in the Administration / Supplier menu, click the "Suspended Supplier" tab.

- Select the newly removed Supplier using the  button.

- Check that all information is relevant to the Supplier.

- Select the  button again to exit.
