Enabling / Disabling UK Customs Procedure on a Route

Enabling UK Customs Procedure on a Route

Stena now require that a “UK Customs Procedure” is selected when a user is making a booking with Stena in the Stratum TMS system.
The UK Customs Procedure is set at the route level via the TMS in the Shipping → Routes screen.

The “UK Customs Procedure” can be enabled on newly created Stena routes by selecting the “UK Customs Procedure Required” check-box as the route is being created.

The “UK Customs Procedure” can be enabled on routes that already exist in the Shipping → Routes screen by double-clicking on the route, or by selecting the 'Edit' icon in the top left-hand corner, and then selecting the the “UK Customs Procedure Required” check-box (Figure 1).

Please note: this change has been completed by the Customer Success Team during the TMS / Stena Integration update

Disabling UK Customs Procedure on a Route

The “UK Customs Procedure” can be disabled on a Stena route, if it is not required, by un-selecting the “UK Customs Procedure Required” check-box (Figure 2).

This can also be done on new and existing Stena routes in Shipping → Routes.

Figure 2 - UK Customs Procedure checkbox shows the Procedure is disabled.

Please Note: If any further information is required, you can find this via the Stena Line Freight’s customs documentation section on their website, this can be found by clicking this link.

Error Handling

If a user is creating a booking with a Stena route which requires UK Customs Procedures a value must be set in the “Customs Proc“ field on the booking.

If no option is selected for a route that requires UK Customs Procedures then an error prompt will be presented to the user to ensure an option is selected. (Figure 8)
